Overview


We are seeking a highly qualified Procurement Analyst to join our dynamic local team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in local purchasing, exceptional negotiation skills, and the capability to manage suppliers effectively within our operational framework.


Key Responsibilities


-Procurement Management: Act as the focal point for the Procurement area, handling purchases and service contracts for local operations.

-Supplier Development: Support the development, registration, and evaluation of local Colombian suppliers to ensure a robust supplier network.

-Contract Negotiation: Utilize knowledge and skills to negotiate complex contracts, one-off services, and local product purchases effectively.

Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, cost-effectiveness and understanding of internal procedures.

-Compliance & Control: Serve as a key link for compliance and internal control, ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines and local procurement process.

-Audit Participation: Attend internal and external audits to verify compliance with local procurement processes.

-Stakeholder Support: Provide guidance and answer questions for stakeholders, managing communications through chats and emails.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery, product/service quality, and compliance with agreements.

-Record Maintenance: Keep accurate and updated records of all purchasing transactions, including contracts, purchase orders, and related documentation. Ensure timely submission of invoices with appropriate receipts to the finance team.

-Process Documentation: Develop and maintain process documentation tailored to local procurement needs and negotiation practices, ensuring clarity and compliance with internal standards.

-Data Analysis: Analyze purchasing data and metrics to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and increased efficiency in procurement processes.

-Problem Solving: Manage your time effectively, highlight problems, and propose solutions within existing resources while maintaining confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters.

-Cross-Department Liaison: Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal departments.


Qualifications


Experience: Proven experience in local procurement and purchasing, including administrative purchasing demands.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with purchasing management tools and ERP systems for order processing and administrative activities.

Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.

Language Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced English skills, including reading, writing, and conversation.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel and other spreadsheet applications.

Personal Attributes: Friendly, energetic, flexible, responsible, and committed to teamwork. Ability to remain calm under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.

Educational Background: Degree or coursework in International Trade, Business Administration, or related fields.

Work Environment: Availability for onsite work (hybrid model in Medellin, Colombia).
